Zindra Unnamed 512 Parcel Skin Store!
slurl.com/secondlife/Fuson/234/6/76
It is hard to describe the deficiencies of this build with words. I dare not venture into discussing the quality of goods for sale here. I will stick to the architecture.
This is a two storey box store that has the rare distinction of having the wrong textures on every single facade and interior surface of it. Exterior walls are rippled silk, the exterior columns are made of a window texture. The roof is a glowing blue water-like texture. The flooring is the freebie rug stretched and repeated to become a the concrete floors -- that mind you stick outside the build on all sides in a haphazard way as if the builder was in a hurry and they had to throw up prims due to prim poisoning so they took care of business and left.
The parcel was not even named. There's no signage, no indication of what we should call this hellhole end of the grid.
tsk tsk....

Ugliest Skin Shop in SL
A Gem in Caledon Not....
Phantasmagoria Theater in Caledon
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Caledon%20II/190/65/24
I got a lead from a fellow resident that a particular part of Caledon, the estate in SL, was being plagued by how shall I say, a build less than professionally built. I had no idea, what I would see would blind my avie's eyes...
In all fairness, the idea is a good one. The execution however is nothing short of 2 day newb building dream theater in Cordova sandbox. There are flashing overlapping surfaces everywhere. The prim work is rough. The texture work is worse as many freebie textures are used and they're used in sizes and repetitions that are most inappropriate. Especially the use of the cliched and ugly art glass freebie texture made me want to throw up a little.
The interior of the theater is slightly better yet it makes one wonder why anyone would build a 5 screen movieplex in SL if they already know that that many people can never be in the same sim at once.
The main movie screen space has promise. Gosh I want to take this person aside and show them that this very same idea could be scaled down some and redone in a way that would be very close to the original structure but look tens of times better.
So nice try but.... gotta keep trying ... this theater is an eye sore. I was astonished something like this could stay up in Caledon. I thought they were all particular with style and quality. Apparently not.
